Description

The starting point for this regional focused follow-up research project was marked by key results from the ECO-WISE:: Austria project, especially concerning their challenges and potentials as local sustainable actors. Therefore the project takes up the question “how the role of ECO-WISE as sustainable actors on regional level can be improved internally and externally in the near future”. In the beginning expert-interviews on regional social political conditions and tendencies of marketization and user-activation were carried out, followed by an in-depth analysis of the performance of Styrian ECO-WISE. For that purpose an online-survey tool was prepared which serves long-term comparison surveys. Another aspect of the survey was the identification of current and future issues ECO-WISE are and will be confronted with in the next 10 to 15 years. The results built the basis for a participatory process on developing future strategies with a multi-disciplinary stakeholder group (see ECO-WISE::Delphi).
